got to fish about 5 hrs,it was good to be back on Cumberland.we had 16 keepers and a few throwbacks.several 12-15 inch fish.
20 feet deep in 25-40 ft of water on old wood.just could not find any fish shallow but this pattern worked out for us.caught them on jigs casting and on just a minnows.

I had 20 good crappie Thursday, not to mention losing the biggest crappie I've ever hung into on Cumberland. (I know...the big one always gets away.) For the last 8 weeks, I've been catching fish shallow---about 2 ft deep in 4 to 6 feet of water. But my last two trips (Tuesday ---kept 15 and Thursday---kept 20), the fish had moved a little deeper.....4 ft deep in 10 feet of water. I'm primarily fishing the back of creeks in the Conley Bottom area and I'm catching quality fish. I'm using minnows and a slip float mostly, but catching a few on BG's new "minnow" colored jig. I've been catching a lot of near 10" fish, but didn't do that on Thursday. Only had 15 small fish.

I've caught a ton of 9.5- 9.75" fish this fall, should be a great spring
