Default Alabama River Above Claiborne Lock and Dam

Anyone have any pointers for fishing around Isaac Creek Campground on the upper side of the Dam. Might go up there camping this weekend. Went last year and caught a couple on a blow down on the river bank. The depth of the water on the river and the current is not something I am use to.

Welcome the the fun! I don't know anything about the Alabama river so I can't help much. We do have a few guys that fish it but I'm not sure what part. Good luck and look forward to seeing you're posts

I fish the river around the Swift Creek area but the patterns should be similar. Water temps yesterday started out at 68 degrees; 64 in a few places on the main river. I found fish in both the creeks and main river. I caught some black crappie in 10 FOW tucked in close to a laydown, the white crappie I caught were in deeper water (20 FOW) on humps, ledges, and stumps

Change of plans. Gonna head to Millers Ferry instead of Isaac Creek.
