    Default Lake O' the Pines

    Hello,
I fished near the dam Friday afternoon and untill 10 pm and two of us caught 30 but it was hard work. This was our best day yet but far from a limit. THey were scattered and we never caught more than two in any one spot. Mostly on minnows and a couple on jigs tipped with minnows. Although there where at least 100 boats in the area, no one appeared to be doing very well. This is our 6th time to go in the last two weeks and I can't seem to figure a patern except for catching Yellow bellys. I hear stories of people catching Crappie in the 40-45 foot channel but we have only caught a few doing that. Mostly catching them in 31-34 foot water and a foot off the bottom. Any ideas or help? Thanks, Percher
