Let me know any information you have on Paint, fishing there for the first time in two weeks.......
I haven't heard anything at all about Paint Creek in a few years, since that fish die off they had a while back. Not sure that it has anything to do with whether people fish it or how good fishing is there, but when you mentioned Paint Creek, it's the first thing that came to mind. If you go, let us know how it is. I live right across the street from East Fork, so it's hard to stray too far from here.

Do you know if they foiund those two Guys that they think fell into the lake . and I was thinkin about coming up to east fork to check out the crappie , is that lake pretty dangerous asfar as trees up close to the top or can you get around pretty good by staying out near the middle?
howferg, as far as I have heard, they still haven't found them. I was out Tuesday evening and there was a sheriff watching the water from the dam overpass and it looked like the search boat was still looking around the island. As far as EF and dangerous, just use some common sense and you'll be okay. Most of the main lake is safe to go as you please. There is a row of standing timber on the lake side of the island, and a lot of it is underwater. This time of year, a lot of it is just the right depth to catch your motor or boat. The trees are further out from shore there than you might think, just be careful around there. Also, slow down well before you get into the rows of trees going into creek arms and coves. There is a lot of timber just below the water. Some in as much as 50 plus feet of water. You'll be able to see the open lanes through the trees for the most part, just take it easy till you know it. Not much different than most lakes. There are always dangers to any new water. No one knows if those guys hit something or had mechanical issues for sure. But there is some stuff to hit in the area they found the boat, but who knows. Just a horrible accident, either way it happened.
