Oh I could wrestle a monster fish
For using in a variety of presentations, vertical on a long pole, under a cork, casting. I am pretty happy with a 2" umbrella tube in Black and Chartreuse on a 1/16 oz head.I am going to tip it with a live minnow if I got it or a crappie nibble.
It's not the lure I have caught the most bigs one on. And it's not the lure I fish the most or have the highest numbers with.
But if I had to give a lure to somebody not knowing how ,when,or where they were going to fish it. And be confident that more than likely a big crappie is not going to snub its nose at it if it comes by. That's probably it... and I would rather have probably three color combos at least to work with.
Charlie Brewer Crappie Slider. Any color with lime green or charteuse somewhere.

Southern Pro Stinger Shad in black and chartreuse. Popsicle would be a close second.
Midsouth super tube Pilsbury color year round
My all time favorite (most productive) is the BGBS straight tails. Followed closely behind by Sliders. With those two on any of my rods, I can pretty much guarantee a decent catch.
