Nice!
Finally got to fish a little this morning. My spring has been busy with work and taking care of my mom after she broke her hip, and everything else life can throw at me. Went to hook up the boat at 4:30 this morning and noticed the charger bank on my starting battery was flashing red and green. Never saw that before, so I unplugged the charger and plugged it back in. Went to town and got some breakfast and let it charge. Got back about 5:30 and it was charging. Decided to take a chance since the trolling batteries were full charged. Hooked up the boat and pulled to Wappapello. Got there shortly after daylight. Sure enough, not enough juice in the starting battery to start the motor. Go out my handy dandy jumper cables and fired it up. We fished the flat in front of the big island for about an hour. Nothing but short fish. Went behind big island to get away from the east wind and started finding some fish. Caught several, mostly shorts but we got enough good ones for supper. Can't tell you depth or water temp. Not enough battery to run the electronics so we just fished blind like in a the good old days. Laura definitely kicked my rear on keepers today. It was good to finally get out.
Way to persevere . Nice fish.

There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.Speck LIKED above post
Usually it is the other way, you have to fight the wind to catch fish. Congrats.
