I was thinking about upgrading trolling mtr. Does anyone have any input on trolling Mtrs. With spot lock on them. I was leaning toward motor guide because it will link up with my Lowrance depth finder.

I think it would be just what I am looking for, I want something to keep me close to my brush pile while I take a fish off the hook or retie my line. Currently the wind my blow me 30 to 40 yards away from spot when I'm not on the trolling Mtr.

You couldn't give me a motorquide. They are trash. I spent a whole spring trying to get repair and replacement for one that ran backwards. Sent me a new one and it burnt up in 2 trips. Got a powerdrive v-2 I-pilot and never had a down moment. company is second to none to work with.
