I cant justify paying high dollar for sunglasses. I opt for the XPS at BassPro or many other brands around the $40.00 mark.

I read an article that said an inexpensive pair of glasses[Bill Dance] at Wal-Mart is just as protective as the high cost ones [Oakley] etc.. This article was in Consumer Reports and I tend to believe them when they aren't paid by the companies to rate the products. Bo

I have seen that reported in numerous places. However the lenses are better quality no doubt. How much better is the end question. Now if I was a guide or charter captain or even fished more than a weekend warrior I would likely pony up for a good pair. Probably Oakley or Rayban or Maui Jim.

Mine are more special than most, they have cheaters (reading glasses) built in. Lets me tie knots and so on without carrying readers and swapping back and forth, and blowing out when forgotten on the deck. All of $20 at wally in the sporting goods dept. I'm on pair #7, I do break a temple off of em now and then, or scratch em when they fall off the head or whatever. Currently looking for #8 in case I mess these up somehow.
