    Smile Thursday night LOZ

Wife and I got on the water around 5:30 yesterday to troll crankbaits and had a pretty good evening. The lake was pretty rough around the 31mm for main channel trolling so we trolled around condo docks behind a wave break just holding one rod so we could reel in and cast back out when turning between docks. We ended up with 14 big crappie and 1 blue cat. We caught fish on Pink, Red Crawfish and Blue Chrome Bandit 300's at various depths in 50'-60' of water. I was out fished again as usual when she goes along. Here is a pic of the biggest it weighted 1.6 lbs.

We tried jig fishing the schools of fish and they wouldn't touch it,but they would eat a crankbait. Wanted bigger bait I guess.

Reaction strike. Kinda like pulling a string in front of a cat. They cant help but chase it.
