Sounds like a good trip!
Well, to start off I don't post on here ever to speak of cause I don't think I've got much to offer seeing as I'm limited to a kayak without any electronics/ don't get to go much/ when I do not usually successful. Buuuut, that being said I went to the Fairfield access on Sunday with my kayak. (I fished there when I was young with my grandpa) so I went to the island right next to the ramp fishing timber on the east side and I hit the water around 5:30 used my last minnow and was back at the car at 9:30 had 14 keepers biggest 13" with the vast majority of keepers in the 10" range. Caught more shorts though, Lots of species, drum, largemouth, whites, channel cats, walleye and of course specks idk what' depth I believe 15 foot give or take?? And I was fishing 6-8 foot down caught more on the swing early and more just sitting later. Never figured out pictures so you'll have to believe me. Thanks for all the info you guys give by the way, always appreciated, hope someone can catch a fish off this.
Sounds like a good trip!
Heck ya . Its ben a long time ago but I fished that same area years ago. Good report.
Sounds like the kinda days I like to fish. Congrats.
This is right where I put in as our place is 3 miles from the ramp. Going to have to fish the island a little more versus running up to Osage.
Thanks for the report

How do you get anything done living 3 miles from the lake I would be so screwed.
