    Default Humminbird Electronics

Who in Missouri is good at installing HB electronics? I live within a hour of St. Louis but willing to travel for someone that comes highly recommended. I'm wanting to install a Helix 9 SI on the console and of course mount transducer. Also can a Helix 9 be linked to a Helix 7? Thanks in advance!

No the 7 cannot be linked only the 9 and up can be linked.

Most boat riggers now are pretty good at installing, but you want to make sure you tell them exactly what you want....mount(and where), make sure you tell them which battery to connect to(to avoid RFI), and if you think you will eventually connect to another unit you might want them to run cabling while they are in there.

I rigged mine myself. Thought it was pretty easy after getting lots of advice on here. Where are you from StL? I am in Wildwood.

You are about 1hr20 min from me. If you were closer I would say lets get together and rig it up.

Tri State is off of 270 and Lindberg (428 Chez Paree Dr, Hazelwood, MO 63042) 314- 921- 7292 I have done my own, just by going on you tube and seeing where to mount transducer. Depending on your boat where you can put it, it won't shoot thru hull. As far as wiring, you just need to run to starting battery ( and I would put a inline fuse in it ) I have a 1997 Ranger R82 and where I put my transducer I have to be very careful in and around tree's and stumps, I ripped off my first one...150.00. You can mount to trolling motor also but I find transom works better. I'm not an expert by no means but what I have seen it seems to make a difference at what speed you travel. See if this helps http://www.humminbird.com/Category/Support/FAQ/SI_Transducer/

Tristate sells Humminbird and Minn Kota and is THE authority on rigging boats in St. Louis. If you want it done right- this is the place!

I second this! had my HB 999 purchased and installed at Tri-State. They did a great job and are very friendly and helpful. Plus I like to support local businesses.
