I had a member ''Slackline'' make me a deal . He offered me a hand made knife just to test it for him . As you can see it looks great and is a fine piece of art . It also cuts good and appears to hold an edge . Thanks Chris . Will give it a trial run through hundreds if not thousands of Crappie and Catfish this summer .

NIMROD, I really appreciate you testing this knife for me, as I do the fillets. It is my design and I tried to make it user friendly in design. I considered the handle shape and size and blade shape more than than the blade size. There will be a six inch variant of this design in stainless steel in the works.
As for the steel, it is 15n20. Which is the same steel used for the huge band saw blades used in saw mills. It is a domestic steel that is also use by many bladesmiths to create Damascus steel.
This is an example of Damascus that I forged using 15n20 and 1084 steels.
