no you wont have to take it down. I have ran one on front or back while on plane with no problem. have gone down highway with it still set up with no problem. probably wasn't smart for highway but didn't move.
hey guys ive got an 18ft express h51 crappie boat. it has the three pedestal mounts in front but i was thinking about buying a double seat set up for the back. my question is can you run your boat on plane without bouncing the seats off. if i'm going to have to take it off and set in the floor every time i run at speed. i dont want to fool with it. any advice apprciated

not really have owned three different ones and pretty much liked them all. got one from BRM that worked well on the bass tracker I had. had a Cumberland that worked good. where are you located if around tupelo there is a rig built around Boonville I think and if central part I think Mr. Gene Johnson has a good one and he can build you anything you want.
Mine never leaves the rear of my boat whether on plane or running down the interstate!! Rock solid
I have a Dub-L-Seat
