I broke about 4-5 inches off of one of my 12' Slab Shakers yesterday. Is there some kind of heat shrink I could get to salvage this rod? or do I just need to use it as an "11.5 footer" now?
Get a piece of wire as close as size to the inside diameter at the point of break. Cut it approximately 1 1/2 inch long and sharpen both ends to fine points. Cut couple inch electrical shrink wrap. Mix up epoxy. Slide shrink wrap onto rod. Test fit wire. If all good place small amount of epoxy on wire and tap into on section of broken rod. Place epoxy on exposed wire tip and slide on broken rod tip. Slide up shrink wrap and heat it. It works for me but I must warn you my wife gives funny expressions on some of my fixes. Lol.

Ditto on Grizzly Jig Co. Just ordered 3 tips for my 12 foot rods. Had them in 3 days and very reasonable.
