1/2 oz is a good size jig. That's the size I use for wipers at other lakes. I generally do good at the dam on the windiest days. How big are those whites like 15 inches or a bit smaller?

Went last night for a couple of hours to get some shad for cat fishing, hit the honey hole for a min before the rain came, got 2 / two 14 inchers', 15 + are rare,
