Default Color Confirmation On Tournament Day

Would you spend 15-30 minutes the morning on tournament day trolling to catching small fish if you were certain that it would put you on the preferred color for the day.

No, those 15 or 30 min maybe the time you need to put big fish in the boat.

I spend 15-30 minutes with my Aqua View to check out the depth they are holding at during certain times of the year and to verify fish holding in an area are the right species and/or are decent size and not just a collection of dinks. For for jig color, I go with known color combinations or arrive at that experimentally. I do not fish crappie tournaments though- disclaimer. That is a good way to ruin a fishing trip, in my opinion.

absolutely I would, what if you don't catch any other fish all day? at least you got somthin. plus if there's smaller fish, fish bigger baits and try to pull out the bigger fish in the area.
