Nice !
was a grind, but we put some meat in the boat. Nothing worth bragging about but 3 of us caught limits of 9-10 inchers, mostly males, all were around 12-14 ft deep over 25-35 ft of water. Water temp is right around 60.
We saw a flock of Pelicans, today. Probably 20 or so birds. I spit beer out of my nose when my brother pointed out that they flew right past Florida, headed toward Mexico. Good times!
couple years ago there was one pelican that stayed at Binder Lake all summer...kinda odd

It felt good to catch some crappies again, it's been awhile. And I've seen Pelicans on the Missouri and Mississippi rivers in winter, but this is the first time I've seen a flock of them at twain. Was pretty cool. We also saw a flock of black duck looking birds at a distance. I wonder if they weren't American coots? It was too far away to see white beaks but they flew kind of funny, not like ducks? These are the little things that make a fishing trip stand out!
Sounds like my type of fishing, checking out the birds and all. As long as fun was had. Never gave a pelican a hug...
