    Default HEY SLAB..........GIVE A MAN A FISH

    Ed,

They say give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime. I have been sharing crappie dot com with my pastor a lot. For his 30th pastoral anniversary he wanted to learn how to catch crappie. He has been a lifetime largemouth Bass fisherman and therefore would always release them and BUY his table fish at the fish store. I have been teaching him knots, rig setups and making soft plastics for him based on what crappie dot com has taught me. In honor of that teaching he finally caught two crappie. I am putting this ad in the souvenier booklet journal to let others know about this teaching website and this community. Just thought you would like to know.

Good job Ship. Knowledge kept to oneself is of limited value, sharing it and making new friends is priceless.

His sermon on the Sunday after he caught the fish was "Take me to the water..." (to be baptized) We baptized four that Sunday and Pastor and I went back to the water on Tuesday where he caught about ten nice size crappie.

He is still a bass fisherman but when he has no luck getting bass he fishes for crappie. Still working on a full time conversion. That's a tough nut to crack. LOL
