    Default How many spider riggers use a bead on your rod tip?


    Are any of ya'll still putting glass beads on your rod tips to help hear the bite.

    I learned it from Wiskers on the KY Forum. It does help and doesn't cause any negatives that I've seen. I put mine between the 2 and 3rd eyelet, counting the tip as the 1st eyelet.

    I put mine between the tip and first eye.

    Been using them about 4 years. No glass, to heavy. Use the bigger plastic bead stop beads. Improved my catch ratio quite a bit. Like MrDucks I put mine between second and third guide.

    I just started using them and it has increased my catch. I use a piece of 8lb line tied to the tip and the first eye. I have a fishing bead and 2 plastic craft beads on the line. Works great.
