I like that area of the lake also has treated me well. Jamie always has the good tips and jigs too. Congrats on the catching and thanks for the post.
I've never fished LOZ before. The lake is very large it's hard to figure out were to start. The other lakes I fish were having 15-20 mph winds and LOZ wasn't as bad plus with it being so "snakey" I figured I could get out of the wind somewhere. Bugman put a little blurb on another post about fishing McCubbins point and the fish moving shallow. This little bit from Bugman gave me the area to start. Searched for a few hours and finally found them on trees 3 - 6 foot deep. Nothing big most were right at 10"s. They were supper aggressive so the thump was awesome! They also were hitting it while swinging in the water column so just watched the line jump. Also got them under a bobber 2 foot deep and when they hit it disappeared. Hammered the jigs only caught one on minnows. Thanks again Bugman!
