Hi, I live in Tavares, FL. I'm somewhat new to crappie fishing. I have a Tracker 175 TXW. I have gone to a couple seminars an set the boat for spider rigging. The problem I'm having is the wind. How do you set up a chain anchor to slow down.

Welcome from the Alabama delta. I usually just try to avoid fishing in the wind.

Welcome from the foothills of North Carolina! I've tried dragging a chain, it will help but depending on the wind, it could take a lot of chain. I just tied the chain to a rope and threw it out the back of the boat securing it to a cleat. I used about 10' of 1/2" chain.
