FROZEN WATER QUESTION???

Can anyone tell me if Maple Leaf Conservation or Watkins Mill lakes are frozen over? Thanks. Hate to drive 4 hours for nothing.

Live less than 10 miles from Watkins and my pond was about 1/2 ice covered yesterday after work. I bet in a day or two that 70 degree temp and the high winds will knock it all loose.

Ice? Or *safe* ice?

Only ice I'd get on this year will be in Iowa or points north. And I'm a lot more....."adventurous"...than many people I know 'round these parts. I'm 10 minutes from Watkins and I wouldn't go out on it at all this year.

Maple leaf is open now, depending on when your planing on going you will have to deal with some major wind!
