Size: 22.4 KBWent with drfishduck to try our luck. First fish was a 22"!walleye. Look what was in her belly and still eating. Last fish was the same 22"?walleye.

Didnt need those trailer lights anyway breaking thru the ice. Only about 100ft of it. Still had to break they when we left also.

Great day fishing but day catching but enjoyed the time in the water anyway. Hope others did better then we did today.

Don thanks for going, once underway it was noisy and fun using my ugly antique aluminum boat to plow thru ice to open water. And I have an idea on how to ice and waterproof my trailer lights. Next trip crappie will be caught.

Nice saugeye Don and DRFISHDUCK!! Good to see that the saugeye are doing what they are supposed to be doing in the lake and that is to utilize the panfish as a prey source!

The length distribution of the crappie population improved greatly from 2014 to 2015 so there should be some very good crappie fishing at Chase during 2016...if the ice goes away!!

    Thanks for the report.

Sorry Craig. They all look alike to me. It was much whiter when it came out. Drfishduck has caught some crappie there lately but I guess I just bring out the worst luck in other peoples boat.

cleaned a 23 and 24 inch walleye from Eldorado Christmas that were both full of eggs and full of 2 to 4 inch fish several of the fish looked like little black bass. Walleye and crappie looked in great shape and fat

I too have lost lights in the past. What's your plan on ice proofing your lights? I need some ideas... Other than taking some on else's boat that is.

On an aluminum boat I sold I rigged up taillights that attached to the boats top rear corners and when I got to the lake I could unplug the wiring and remove the lights, but I ended up getting some free trailer guides and I slid some 3' pvc pipe on each guide and attached the lights to the pvc and that worked even better.
