I have 2 that I got from Academy that are 36". Only cost $15 and open up easily in the water. I've never had a problem with them. One will slow my 18ft. Fish n Ski to a crawl with 5-10mph wind.

Fishing is like pizza.......Even when it's not that good, it's still pretty good!

Get the biggest one you can , I think mine is 42" wish I'd got a bigger one
If it gets so windy that I need a 5ft. drift sock, I will go just go home.

I have made 3 different sizes with a cheap plastic tarp. Cut it the size you want in an elongated triangle then use duct tape to seal it together. Sounds "redneck" but it actually works GREAT!! Ive had the 3 I made for 3 years now and they still hold up well.

We have a paddle that takes the place of the drift sock. Sooo much easer to use.
