    Default Another PB/Pics

Not by me but my partner Frank. This time 17 1/2 inch and 3lb. 8 oz. First of only 3 for the morning. I had the other 2 smaller ones. This one came home as it caught in deep water and died. It is being kept for maybe a mount.

It's amazing that you have those monsters way up in Maine, but most of us dream of making the trip to 'sippi to try for a 3 lb'er. Big crappies are prized to the South of you, but looked on as undesirable in your state. I hope all of C.C members don't show up in Maine one day and clean your state up of those "undesirables"

    Congrats on another beauty!

Any idea what Maine recognizes as it's state record crappie on rod n' reel ? I didn't google it (in part because I'm lazy) also because googling state records in the past returns all types of erroneous and conflicting results. Example of such, try googling Louisiana's state record crappie sometime... Some say 6lbs, some 4lbs and change. Just depends on who ya ask. Just curious how close you and your pardner' there are to becoming the new state record holder.
