Sounds like a fine day to me. And we need cooler water down here also.
Got out for about 3 hours yesterday. ended up with 8 keepers with one being 12", two 11.5" and one 11". That is for sure a good sign for me. I think when the water temp drops another 5 degrees it will be game on! But, it is rare that I am right so who knows! lol

I hope you are right. Thanks for the post and pic.
Excellent............didn't measure any of mine because it was a C&R day for me. Were you out on the main lake, or more in the trees?
Sounds like your on them. It won't take long for the temperature to drop with these cool morning. Thanks for the report and picture.
I fished the main lake brush piles for about 5 hours yesterday to get 9 keepers. Probably caught 4-5 shorts for every keeper. Fished piles from 13'-18' and most of the fish were a foot or two off the bottom. Yours were defiantly bigger than mine.
I talked to a guy today who was pulling out when I was putting in, and he had a limit caught from brushpiles 10' deep. And he said his fish were high quality...most over 11" and some over 12". I have never found these piles in 10', so I caught a few dinks on the deeper ones. But around 3:00 the bigger fish all of a sudden showed up and I caught 6 fish over 11" and one almost 13"
Caught a bunch off of the main lake brush piles today. Had a hard time staying on them due to the wind. 8 keepers biggest 12 in. Later in the day moved closer to the ramp and fished by camp branch marina to get out of the wind and found them stacked in open water. Lots of dinks fast action but ran out of day light. Used minnows straight down and drifting with the wind.
