Rain didn't hurt them down here in my part of the country. Water is in good shape.

Fishing was easy catching was tougher, 60 degree stained water and a nice breeze and We fished for Crappie just about anyway a Man can, the ones We found where 11"+ and seemed be in around 10ft of water although We marked plenty deeper, they prefered jigs with nibbles to minnows. Had a good time doing some late Fall camping, nothing like huddling around a fire under a star lit sky throwing back a few cold ones with a old friend.

Speckwick and I fished from about 7:30am to dark 11/8/2015 at RF..... Caught fish 7 to 10 ft deep early morn till early eve..... Found shallow fish late in the day ...... Swimming jigs, slip floating minnows and jig-n-bobber all produced.... Caught some real nice ones and had pretty respectible numbers...... Caught them any where from 1ft to 10ft deep...... Found two main like spots that produced well.... Other than those two spots had to keep moving..... Few here few there..... Couldn't sit to long in one place.

We made it to Highland as well. I thought JGJ was there, but didn't look like his son, so we kept moving. Arrived around 10:30 and out around 3:30. Marked fish/caught a few, marked fish/caught a few, marked fish/caught a few, marked fish/caught a few, seemed to be the pattern. Trees were loaded with nursery fish. Lake points and ledges held the bigger fish for us. Used bobber/minnow the first half and deeper fishing later. Had a good looking Lucky Bucket but was lazy and let them free at the dock. Crappie, Gills, Perch and Rock Bass. First Rock Bass I caught in years.
Awesome day to be on the water with the wife.
