Well, I'm definitely not a disco fan, but my handle came from a scene in "Stripes" (an all-time favorite with Bill Murray.)

In one scene, one of the characters (Judge Reinhold) is wearing dark glasses and a shirt that reads "Death Before Disco" (a take on the Marine slogan, "Death Before Dishonor".) That movie came out in '81, so it was a little more relevant then.

It cracks me up every time I watch it.

Great movie....but I would take death before disco any day.
    Birddog,

I pray that I may live to fish until my dying day. And when it comes to my last cast I then most humbly pray. When in the Lord's great landing net and peacefully asleep. That in His mercy I be judged, BIG ENOUGH TO KEEP.

Too cool. I was in 8th grade when that movie came out. I still get a case of the yuk yuks every time I think of Warren Oates getting that eye twitch. Definitely one of my all time favorite movies!

Good to see I'm not the only "Stripes" fan here.

    I miss John Candy!
