At least you got the boat right and you were able to get out on the water for a while.....fish or no fish doesn't seem to matter as much as just getting out there for a while
Hit the water before daylight. Started fishing Chocolate Drop at daylight. 5 short fish. Reeled up and headed to Swirl Hole. Fished along the channel edge and over the flat. Zip Zero Nada. Carp jumping all over the place. Fired up and went to Possum Creek. Different place, same results. I couldn't buy a keeper crappie today. I shoulda known something was up. I was the only boat on the lake crappie fishing that I could see. Catfish must be biting good. Several boats running jugs and trot lines. Shad everywhere. Maybe the crappie were so full of shad, they weren't interested in my jigs. Sure felt good to get out and run the boat. I think they finally got my motor right. Came out of Possum and headed for the boat ramp. Once in the channel, I threw the coals to it and it shot up to 70 mph in a blink. Good enough for me.

A gun, like any other source of power, is a force for either good or evil, being neither in itself, but dependent upon those who possess it
