Nice pics Jared. I have seen them swim close to half mile to get to the other side of the lake. They can swim fairly fast also.
Thanks for your report. Just wish you had caught more.
Better luck tomorrow.
I have been battling with the Teal hunters to get in to some of my better fall spots. So I waited until 9 to get the water. First spot had a boat to close for me to try my stake buckets so I hit some standing timber and stumps that were close by. Picked up a couple 11" fish real quick on a Silver Glitter/Chart Mike's Custom Bait in the 3 1/2" version and then nothing for the next half hour. The boat pulled off and I got on some of my buckets and picked up a couple more with one going 1 1/4 lb. Made a run down river and when I came off plane I thought I was seeing things. There were two deer swimming right through the trees I was going to fish along the channel. Not sure where they came from but they had a good 1/4 mile left to swim to make it to the West bank. Headed on down river and hit some good looking stuff and never put another fish in the boat. Several light hits fishing out on a flat but could not get a hook in them. Best bite was still in 6'-8' of water just off the bottom. Junebug/Chart and Silver Glitter/Chart was all I fished today. Should have more time to fish tomorrow and will see if I can have a better report.
