Bourbeuse. Basically a canoe or kayak river. Trees block riffles and you have to drag over gravel bar or just not enough water to float a boat. Limited access. Long distance between access points.

It is a 7-8 hour float to our house. depending on how much you fish. Then another hour to the next public put in. They saw no one else on the river sunday. It is a slow moving river that you have to paddle a lot to get anywhere. Not like the Meramac where the current will take you downstream and you can just float and drink. This takes effort.

I thought it might be the Bourbeuse. Floated that river a few times. Nothing better than a nice leisurely float where you don't have to deal with herds of canoes and rafts. I am jealous. I have caught walleye in that river as well.

Yes. Walleye are FAR and FEW between. Use to catch drum also. But haven't seen or heard them in a long time. We can go down there in the summer for a day and if you see a couple of canoes or kayaks go by it is rush hour. Access to river is far between and to much work for a lot of people.
