    Default Kentucky River 8-31-15

Nice morning on the river. Lost two good ones. Released them anyway. It's been awhile since I've posted anything. Going to Green in two weeks. Hope to give a good report then. Name: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1441041596.926850.jpg

Better than my morning, I had zero.

Nice crappie. Mind if I ask what pool you were fishing in? I live in N.KY and 2 weeks ago, I drove to Carrolton to look at the ramp at the Ohio to see if I wanted to fish the 1st pool, then I drove south, past the Twin Creeks ramp and to the ramp at Gratz in Pool #2. Those are the 2 easiest pools for me to access and the water looked good. But not sure how good they are for crappie.

Most of the time I fish above and below lock 10. I do the best when the river is low and the flow is slow. Just fish the thickest stuff you can find in 10 to 15 fow.
