Just looking for some info for making soft plastics. I started tying flies for trout and found I had more fun jig tying, mainly because I could go crappie fishing 20 times to 1 over trout.
But now I'm interested in making some soft plastics for crappie. What would I need to get started and where is a good source for how to videos or instructions? Also for getting started how much do think it would cost me, just wanting to make for my own use just for the extra thrill of catching on something I made.

you could figure on a couple hundred bucks or more to get started go to YouTube there are a time of how do videos just punch in plastic baits or injection molding or something along that line and they will pop up.
if you are wanting to look at injection molds didn't go to a few places Lakeside molds do-it Bass tackle Jacob's just to give you a few to look at to give you an ideal what molds cost.
I would you tube as much as you can. Search back through the archives here to and read all the great tidbits. There is a learning curve for sure lol. I am still in the curve

There is a lot of help on here just gotta get a little foundation to know what questions to ask. There are tons of videos and write notes. Don't worry about recipes but more technique and tools they use.
Gonna need a microwave, injector, Pyrex cups, measuring spoons, zip lock bags just for starters.
