Default Maintenance Matters - Penny Trick

Yamaha Maintenance Matters if you want to stay out of the dealer and on the water. Learn how to take care of your marine outboard motor.

Jared Roper showed me this video I thought was very interesting, I know what to do with my pennies now. I shared cause after all, G3 Boats (with Yamaha) are our sponsors.

The penny trick works. Back when vehicles had 6V positive ground systems, it was a MUST!

Back when I was a kid, we used to disconnect the batteries on our tractors when not in use. Save pennies. 1940s-1950s.

Have a penny on one of my car battery. All I have now is a penny that is not in the bank. Still have the corrosion.

Bee; Try a thick coating of axle(cup) grease on the terminals after cleaning them up. This has always worked for me to stop battery corrosion.

Old pennies made of copper should work. New pennies are mostly zinc.

Early 80s. If you drill a hole in a new penny, you can tell.

We have (had) penny collection that covered 50 year span with all mints. Thought we really had somptin. Coin man said they were worth about a penny each. crapped out on this collection. Made out on our Mercury Dimes though.
