Too much water.
I've noticed over time that aside from spring I catch way more crappie on stumps and dead trees vs live trees. This is especially true for the Bonne idee. Anyone have a theory on this?
If you can't answer that help me solve another mystery. Why is the corn on the end of the row always shorter?

Corn on the end of a row gets more sun so it doesn't have to reach to the sky to get it like it's siblings in the middle of the row. Just my guess as I don't grow corn.

Me too Jimmy, mine has always grown that way. Gene has a good point, often wondered that.

Are the cobs shorter or just the stalks? On the other question, I am like the fish, stumped. Although I have thrown many times in dead trees, stumps and live trees, I have never caught one there. You should try catching in the water. "D"
