how many of you use 1/8 oz jig heads, just bought another mold to add to my 1/16 and 1/32. and it will have sickle hooks like the rest:D:D

Depends on the movement of the water I'm fishing. For crappies in still water I mainly use 1/16, but often 1/32. If the water is moving slowly I stick with 16th, and move up in weight so I can get to my desired depth. I rarely use 1/8 for crappie unkless they are real agressive or some special situation demands it like I have to cast further or I'm using 3-4 inch grubs.
Good things come to those who bait.
Lots of variables here....if it was springtime I probably would of went up a notch.
Sacred Heart of Mary, pray for us now, and at the hour of our death. AMEN
For those who believe, no explanation is necessary....for those who don't, no explanation is possible
For the sake of his sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and the whole world
I'm not a deep water fish catcher, but when i go deeper than 10 ft., I like to use 1/8th. for the extra feel.
I tend to use 1/16 and 1/8 for most of my fishing. They both cast well on my spinnin outfits. The only way I'd use 32 jigs is if I tie them in tandem every 18" or so to find the depth of the slabs.
the next generation of slabhunters
The 3/32 is the perfect size. Most of the time the 1/16 is too small and the 1/8 is too big. I use the 3/32 with a #2 hook year around.
Have a crappie day!:D [email protected]
I use 1/16 for shallow fish'n and 1/8 for deeper fish. I would really like to try the 3/32 jigs but none of the tackle stores around here handle them. Guess I'll have to find some place & order me some.:D
