Nolin Green Barren trip advice

We wanted to hit KY Lake for the first time this year but I've read the fishing has been slow there. It has me considering perhaps Nolin, Green or Barren. What's your thoughts......

It seems to me Ky Lake has been becoming tougher over the last few years. It's a great lake and the crappie can be huge compared to fishing up here but it's not what I would call an easy lake to fish.
I haven't fished the lakes you mentioned but I have entertained a trip to Green River Lake. It seems it could be an interesting lake to fish.
One place I've been interested in is Lake Erie for crappie. I've tried to make it happen the last few years but just couldn't free up the time when needed.
