It is south of Anderson, SC, between Iva and Antreville on Hwy 184. It's only 1,850 acres[very small lake].Originally Posted by big "E"

I have a friend that fishes that lake, and he swears by it. But he bass fishes, he says you can smell the fish when you get to the landing. But I did read that it more like a wide winding river that is full of stumps and brush, sounds good to me I plan on trying it this spring.
I WENT THERE FOR THE FIRST TIME last Sunday.Originally Posted by funfishing

Is it a scdnr managed lake? Ive fished several of the scdnr lakes and have had some really good luck on em. especially the small impoundment at monticello. only bad thing is you need to know the days fishing is allowed so you can time your visit for a open day. last winter we slayed the crappie on the sub impoundment at monticello.
listen with your eyes---its the only way to beleive what you hear...
No it is not a SCDNR lake It is managed by the city of Abbyville. But I do not think there are any time restrictions or motor limits. I read that people tie up under the bridge to fish at night for crappie.
Fished Secession last night keep about 15 . Had a lots of white bass also. This lake is full of brush.
