Nice Crappie!!
Back up in a small cove, pitched the bobber and jig in the one spot I just knew held a monster fish. The glare of the sun blocked my view of the bobber and jig landing....adjusting my Ray Bans I could finally see....and the bobber is gone like a giant sink hole opened up swallowed it and now was threatening to suck the boat in also. Fish On!
Stripping line off the reel with smoke pouring from it, I tightened the drag, the pole nearly doubling over, the fish changing directing and pulling the front of the boat with it. I braced my leg and fought the beast on the other end. Suddenly the boat launches up on plain, Brad (Scoutsout) fires the 115hp mercury up and slams it into reverse full throttle and still we are being towed out to deeper water and certain doom......
The water erupts and the fish leaping into the air blotting out the setting sun, spits this much much smaller fish out that I then casually reel in.
On a lesser note, Brad's friend Dave caught this crappie........I personally am pretty sure it was snagged in the tail completely randomly......
I am pretty sure that's sort almost like how it all happened
Good times with good guys
