I find that they move out to the first dropoff. Doesn't have to be a big drop either. A three foot drop will give them an edge to rest at. Look for that drop.
Ok, here in Southern Indiana, the crappie are spawing, some already have. We have had a cold front. So question is, where do they go after the spawn ? Last week caught a bunch and now they are no where to be found. I fished the whole lake and can not find them even with a fish finder.
Could they be in the heavy mossy areas still?
What do you use to get them in that messy stuff.

DID YOU FISH SHALLOW ,IN DEEP WATER ? HAVE SEEN FISH ON ENID BACK OUT TO 10-12 FT. DEEP WATER DUE TO A COLD SNAP OR INCREASE IN GATE HEIGHT AND STAY CLOSE TO THE DEPTH THEY WERE SPAWNING IN .
