    Default Bucksaw and the breakdown.

Went to Bucksaw yesterday and unloaded the boat and went to the marina and got minnows and got back in the boat and it wouldn't start!!!
I blew the battery fuse on the motor a couple times last year, figured the starter was doing it but wasn't for sure. I finally just trolled down to Angel Cove and caught six spider rigging by the bank but it was hard to fish with the boat problem in the back of your mind.
I finally gave it up and gave my crappie to a guy at the ramp, after getting my boat home and found the starter was not getting no power when the key was turned but the fuel pump would come I narrowed it down to the neutral switch.
I tore the shifter apart and found the wire going from the neutral switch to the ignition switch had broke, so it was a cheap fix but was a very frustrating day. : ) I hope this was the cause of the fuses blowing.

Glad you found the no start cause. It may have been the cause of the fuse on the motor blowing. That fuse is for the ignition switch and any accessories hooked to the ignition switch. The starter is not fused and won't blow the ignition fuse.

    Glad you caught some.

Glad you found the problem and it was a relatively easy fix. Good job on the fish.

I tried the shallow bite at first but didn't have any luck, I fished in 14 fow and around 7 ft down.
I caught a couple of nice ones.

I like giving away fish at the ramp/marina. Sure makes their day.
The best way to get to where you want to be in the future is to act like you are there TODAY.

Equipment issues like that make it tough to enjoy the rest of the day, but at least you caught a few and fixed the trouble!
