'Bout half jealous of you Eastern Shore guys; you've got open, fishable water, while we inlanders are still looking at hard water.
Found time for another trip today. After the fast fishing on Monday I was expecting another but it seems the cold front that passed through last night and the blue skies today slowed it down considerably. Still managed 30 fish, 75 percent crappie, a few perch, a pickerel and to my surprise a carp that was foul hooked on the cheek. Most were caught casting and the surface was surprisingly warm at 47. Also managed a couple of bigger crappie in the 12 inch range the rest were small, some really small. Most fish were suspended 4- 5 feet off the bottom in 10 foot + water

Yeah we only had partially frozen water for 2 weeks of this winter. Doesn't hurt that the salt content and moving tides are on our side in all but the coldest temps.
