Fish it fairly often. Seems like it is feast or famine depends on the water flow but yes they are still around.
Any of you LOZ fisherman ever have good luck from shore below the dam? Many years ago {40} we went to LOZ for a vacation and I killed the crappies below the dam and they were 8 to 10 in fish as I remember Now this was in june and we did it three years in a row. Just wondering if they were still there and might be there in march. Any help would be appreaciated. Dave

thanks, got 20 days vacation in march and this cold front dont seem to be going away too sson so looking for some places to go. Dave
You can also try bank fishing at the headwaters of LOZ. In March you might catch crappies, white bass, stripers/hybrids, walleyes......mixed bag for sure
Dave-- yes, altho plenty of boat fishing in the slack/dead channel, you can reach some brush from bank. In the generator channel there won't be boats up past the point, so all bank fishermen in there.
