It's too easy to put these folk in the back of our minds and worry about what jig color we don't have in our box. We also can't comprehend, even if not hurt, what being taken away from their family and very small kids for the length of time they were gone. Most of us weren't there.

Funny you brought this post to life. I was reminiscing the 60's and looking at some old airplanes. Here is a video of my favorite plane when I was in service. Road a few miles in the trainer version. Awesome power! I rode chase in the T28 at Pacific Missile Range. We got shot at a couple times by some idiot LTs. ha They thought we were the target drone. Made me pucker.
