A BIG Thank You....

To two exceptionally wonderful people..........Vic and Eileen ( Crappie King and Queen)

My apologies first for not finding the time before this evening to shout out to you both, as expected the moment I walked in the door I became swamped for what felt like an eternity of a holiday season. Work was nuts but survived with smiles on everyone's face, Drove out to the coast and kidnapped mom for holiday, Got a few days to hang with the extended family, Got mom back home, and the surprise suggestion from the Mrs........to sneak out Saturday (I love that woman). Hit the airport early early Sunday for a trip to Miami (courtesy of my boss / friend and his wife) to watch My Dolphins get whooped by his Jets in my stinking stadium (the four of us still had an awesome day adventure) then flew back after dinner, home by 11pm.

Anyway...........

Words cannot express my thanks for the invitation to spend a few days with you two during your vacation time here.

It was a wonderful few days that has left me with exceptional memories to cherish and smile about for a long time to come.

I feel very fortunate in life that our paths crossed for I have gained some wonderful friends..... for life

I will forever be Thankful to CDC and Slab himself for providing me the means to stumble across these type of relationships and new friends that to me are why the world goes around...............

I am guilty of over working, self inflicted stress, and many other things associated with one working to be good to their word, or attempting to treat others as you would hope to be treated in today's business world or the world in general for that matter.

Now that I am getting a little/ok...alot older, I'm starting to realize how special these moments with friends are to me and finding myself cherishing them deeply.

There never seems to be enough hours in the day, and I doubt it will ever end anytime soon......... but spending time with Vic and Eileen sure helped me feel like all is right in the world....... great company, good times with friends..............and finding ones peace in life.

YUP the fishing was great.............their company my blessing ..................Thank you both from the top, to the bottom of my heart.........Thank you both very much.

Stu, thank you for the kind words, the pleasure was all ours. We too are thankful for the pleasure of meeting you and becoming good friends. I also would like to thank Slab and people like Speckanator, Russ, TNT, Bryan, Crappielover and many others who share the same values. We have met many, many new friends on this site, too many to mention all of them. Just remember to have fun, catch a lot of specks and remember to put some back for future generations to enjoy.

Stu, having met Vic and Eileen myself, you are right on the mark. I could not have said it better.

There are many, many stories just like your own all across this site. It's because of the members, and one other really big feature of the site! It's "Family Friendly".

Seriously, with all the garbage out there, having a place that is "Family Friendly" allows the site to draw the right kind of people. People that want to be "friendly".

Fine, I originally came up with the "Family Friendly" concept for the site but I give all the credit to our moderators for maintaining it that way. It would be an impossible task to do so otherwise.

I also give the most credit for keeping it "Family Friendly" to one particular Super Moderator. He "talked me down", when things got a little rough on here, back maybe 8 years ago. I was starting to "let things slide", and he reminded me of what I wanted for the site. He told me to stand my ground. And if you know me, I'm not quite as rigid as some might believe. But anyway, I thank you "G" for keeping me straight, keeping the site honest, and holding it to that original belief. So here I say it again, Crappie.com, Family Friendly Forever! Crappie.com members are the best.
