Well it's been awhile since it's been this nice out in December! The fish are not in the normal haunts! It was really frustrating this morning. I didn't catch a keeper until 10:30am. Started at 6:50am. Then I remembered there was day like this 2 years ago. I went back to those docks and it payed off! Name: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1418596077.220440.jpg

Nice bunch of fish. My son caught his biggest ever during that warm spell two years ago. It was 16" and was caught in front of a dock in about 3-4 foot of water. On warm winter days we always hit that dock and have done pretty good.

I wonder sometimes if the water is clear and sun finally comes out after along week of over cast sky's? If the Crappie move up under the docks in shallower water on the opposing side of the sun. Kind a like Spawn in the spring time. The sun penetrating the water and warms the floor of the lake up. So find 10'fow or less on a NorthWest bank of the lake like I did today and maybe it would pay off. The spot I found to day was in 8' fow. And the fish were 5' down. The quick pop and real back was the ticket. Color was bleeding shad by BB. 1/16 Char jig.

Congrats. It will make you wonder when your go to docks don't pay off like they normally do. But that's good because it makes you go hunting for them.
