    Default Smoker cooking

Cooked a brisket on my MasterBuilt electric smoker today. It turned out great....nice and tender and moist. Name: uploadfromtaptalk1409779434658.jpg

I never did get a smoke ring on the edge of the meat but it does have a good smoke flavor.....dunno why that was. It was the first time I had ever cooked a brisket and most folks have a problem with them being dry and tough and mine wasn't so I was pleased with how it turned out.

Slab, come down river. The further down you go the better the food gets.

You mean watermelon and cold turkey samich ain't gonna cut it as a meal down river from me. Well, thats about as good as it gets in our house cause it's mostly DIY, although wifey does grill on the weekends. And I'd have to agree, most the meals I've had down river have been twice as good as food I've had here or up river for that matter. Those Louisiana eats were certainly hard to beat that we had down there at Spring Camp. And the care package I took home I'm still enjoying.
