I have not fished Truman in about 16 years. When I fished it it was the best lake in Missouri. I am going to spend a couple of days there this weekend a wanted some info if the fish still bite as good now as they did then. I mainly fished the Tebo area and thats where I will be at. My 14 year old wants to catch fish. Plan on looking for crappie during the daylightand do some Jugging and trot lining at night for some catfish. Any extra help on where the crappie are will be helpfull.
The best bite seems to be a jig tipped with a minnow. Don't be afraid to fish shallow if the water has any color. A lot of fish are being caught in 5 FOW or less. Be careful of the stumps. Much of the wood you remember is now at surface level . A good GPS really helps with navigation. Good luck.
God bless Charlie Brewer and Bobby Garland.
