You can spray luminescent paint on the tips of the rods. With just my bow light, I can see them fine.
Have any of you attempted this technique at night? If so, what did you use for lighting? Glow sticks on the end of the rods comes to mind as well as a small clamp light of the front. If you have tackled this before or talked to someone who has please share your experiences!

What I've read is they use those black lights and hi vis or floro line . Lights mounted in such a way as to illuminate the rod tips and the line glows. I haven't made the investment on these as there are to many other toys I want more lol
I have RGB LED lights all the way around my boat and run them at night all the time while I am fishing.
If I am spider rigging, the lights illuminate my rods and tips and can see them get bites easily. I have had great success spider rigging on brush piles at night the same you would in the day light. Works great. You just need to see your rod tips. You can use a flashlight to see them if you don't have LED's.
The fish don't need the light to eat or see the jigs. They feed at night all the time without lights. You just need to be on them to catch them and some kind of light to see your rods when they get a strike.
USAF Retired and fishing!
