    Default Alabama river dock complete

Well, not complete... But the hard part is done. Finally a level place to sit and fish!! Still needs some work on the step down and a few boards to cap the joists. We jetted the pilings and it was near impossible getting thru the thick clay. First piling took 2 hrs! By the time we got to the 9th one we could get one in about 45 minutes. Finished size is 16'x22' and I included a pic of a couple of big mussels we found

Very nice work. That will be a great platform from which to make some awesome fishing and camping memories. Nice samples of the catfish candy too. I hope your dock don't have the same demise as some that we have built on the Cape Fear River here in North Carolina... that were always taken out sooner or later by raging high water and/or floating logs and trees. Hopefully, that doesn't happen to you on this one... but that's always a chance you take for the extra effort.
